Ronnie Biggs is now 79 years old and in very poor health yet our 'caring' Justice Minister says that he won't release the man from prison.
OK. He committed a terrible crime in 1963 but all sorts of people are let out of prison all the time who have committed truly horrendous acts of murder etc.

It is hard to believe anything other than that this man is being singled out purely because of his notoriety.

Jack Straw should think again. If not he should be forced to think again by public opinion.
But then Mr Straw is an out and out pratt so he won't care.
Keeping a 79 year old who cannot possibly be described as any sort of threat in prison is a disgrace and Mr Straw should be thoroughly ashamed of himself.

I went out into the garden this morning and noticed that a couple of the plants that I thought were calabrese had, in fact, got cauliflower heads in them.
I'm not too sad about this as I like cauliflower a lot but calabrese would have been even better as you can get it go on cropping over a period.

I'm not sure whether I got my labelling mixed up or whether it was a problem at the seed merchants end.

Never mind. I'm sure that I will enjoy them wherever they came from

What I need this evening is a recipe that includes Purple sprouting broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, broad beans and peas

Stir fry I suppose??
