What a Surprise??

Lawyers for the three Labour MPs facing charges over their expense claims say their cases should be dealt with by Parliament rather than the police.

Elliot Morley, David Chaytor, Jim Devine – and the Conservative peer Lord Hanningfield – will be charged with false accounting under the Theft Act.

The MPs’ lawyers believe they cannot be tried in court, claiming their cases are covered by Parliamentary privilege.

What a load of b*****ks

These people are guilty of stealing my money???

Innocent until proved guilty does not apply. They did it. The records clearly show it??
And now, for their lawyers to claim that they cannot be tried by a court because of the 1689 Bill of Rights is nonsense.

If it’s good enough for them then what about the bit that says I have the right to travel anywhere without let or hindrance ( no road tax, no MOT, no speed cameras)
What about the bit that says I have the right to enjoy my property without let or hindrance ( no council tax, no TV license)

The annoying bit is that the powers that be have put these four people in the frame hoping that the general public will think something is being done.

In my opinion, not good enough!!
What about all the MP’s who have ‘flipped’ their houses purely and simply to gain the maximum amount of benefit for themselves.

All the MP’s who have been told to repay money ( more than 300 of them I think) should really be in court as well because what they have done is theft. I am not in the slightest bit convinced by any arguments that ‘it was within the rules at the time’.
These are supposed to be people who are intelligent enough to be able to give opinions on the great issues of the day and, in the end, regulate what I can and cannot do.
I, as a simple man, can clearly see that what they were doing was wrong. Why cannot they??

MP’s from all three main parties have fiddled the system and apart from a load of waffle none of the three party leaders have given me any confidence that they are in the slightest bit inclined to do anything at all about it. No point in voting for any of the three main parties then if you would like something done about it.

I reckon that the MP’s salary is perfectly adequate for what they do.

My solution??

No need to pay them any more.
Build a large hotel with about 500 rooms.
All MP’s with a constituency within a 30 mile radius of Westminster have to commute home at the end of their day like we all have to. At their own expense.
All MP’s who represent a constituency further than 30 miles from London should be allocated a room in this hotel.
Their cleaning, laundry and basic food menu should be provided.
That’s it. No need for any expenses. Everything necessary to perform their function is provided. Any extras that they consider essential they can provide out of their own pocket.
It’s entirely possible that I have forgotten something that should be provided at the State’s expense but they can argue that.
They certainly should not be allowed to do it and then claim expenses.

None of this is going to happen of course because the Westminster club think that they have got us all where they want us and the sad bit is that they are probably right:((

At the very least we could cut the number of MP’s down to about 100?? Most of the legislation emanates from Europe now and it all goes through on the nod so we wouldn’t miss the remainder.

  1. I actually decided to create a short video about this, I would be honored if you would possibly take a second to look it and perhaps leave a message about what you think, I left the video link in the “website” field, hopefully you can get to it, thank you
