Much Too Far??
Labour has created 4,300 new crimes since taking power – including a ban on swimming in the wreck of the Titanic and on the sale of game birds shot on a Sunday.
Gordon Brown has been the worst offender in this unprecedented ‘legislative splurge’, with his Government creating new offences at the rate of 33 a month.
Under Tony Blair, Labour invented 27 new ways of criminalising the public every month.
We have far too many laws now.
We could easily narrow it all down to three or four laws and ditch all the others.
Thou shalt not kill or injure anyone.
Thou shalt not steal or otherwise deprive anyone of their property.
There may be one or two others but basically you should be nice to everybody and not be a pain in the bum??
Most people who are brought up properly by their parents (and there’s the rub) know very well what is right and wrong.
We really don’t need endless laws and myriads of people to enforce each one of them.
It has all got seriously out of hand in the past few years and we need to do something about it.
I like this bit best
They include offences – such as carrying out a nuclear explosion – which could easily be covered by existing laws.
OK Gordon, you’ve made it illegal for me to carry out a nuclear explosion.
However, if I did, who is going to be around to arrest me?

I don’t know if I’m in agreement with you here. While you do make an excellent point, I don’t believe you have truly given a large amount of thought to the opposite side of the argument. Maybe I could write a guest post or a follow-up, just tell me.
