I don’t understand why no government department is willing to change it’s policy after the ‘crowdsourcing’ experiment.!!

Why have individual departments got policies??
I thought it was governments that set policies??

Most people thought that the idea of asking the ‘general’ public to comment on policy was a gimmick and they have been proved right.

This is an email I sent to the Metropolitan Police yesterday:-

Yesterday, 3rd August 2010, I visited the Tesco store in New Malden at around 10am.
One of your vehicles was in the car park marked ‘Parks Police’. Registration No. LC08KTX.
A uniformed lady came out of the store, got into the car and drove off.

My question is whether it is deemed acceptable by your organisation for an officer to go shopping while on duty in a police vehicle that is being paid for via taxes taken from my salary??
I, and I suggest the vast majority of the working people of Britain, are not permitted to go shopping while being paid.
This should especially apply when the payments are made out of public funds??

There are no Royal Parks within a few miles of Tesco’s so I cannot see that the vehicle was there on official business.

I await a response with interest.
